Eating for pleasure

'French women don't get Fat' may not be a book that is top of your reading list. It has been a best seller as a non diet book with the main aim to reveal 'The secret of eating for pleasure'.
So what is the secret, and how does it have any relevance for men, French or otherwise?
The key is to enjoy a variety of flavours and not to settle for the limited tastes of high salt and high fat that our Western diet often serves up. We all know the allure of opening a bag of chips only to find that we have devoured the lot before we've even stopped to check if we are full. In the same way that 'life is too short to drink cheap wine', it is definitely too short to risk your health for the sake of mass produced, colourless food.
So, if every mouthful becomes more about nutrition, quality and flavour, rather than quantity, the 'non diet' may help you to maintain a healthy weight or even lose a few extra kilos.
'Australian Priests stay Slim'..... it could be a new best seller.
